A University-Model School ®

Our Vision

At Summit Christian Academy we believe that parents have been given the primary responsibility for the training, discipleship, and education their children. [ Reference: Deuteronomy 6:7 ] With this core principle in mind, our primary goal is to support families in these endeavors as chartered by our Mission.

Operating as a Christian University-Model School®, it is our vision to provide an excellent, yet affordable choice for families in the San Antonio–Hill Country region of Texas who are seeking a

  • Christ-centered,
  • family-focused,
  • character-driven,
  • life-loving,
  • excellent, fun, adventurous, and
  • well-rounded educational experience

for their children that integrates Biblical truth and perspective throughout each subject and pursuit. Furthermore, it is our vision to treat all families as equally important before God and to partner together as a team not only to help prepare their children for a successful college experience, but more importantly, for life.

Although academic education is our primary venue, we believe that children greatly benefit from real life learning and thrive when they have an opportunity to experience memorable life adventures first hand. As a result, it is our vision to also offer excellent opportunities for our students to participate in a full range of character building experiences through

  • team and individual athletics,
  • outdoor adventures,
  • on-site learning and field trips,
  • local community service and missions

opportunities for extraordinarily significant times with their families and fellow students. [Costs for these activities are generally not included in elementary tuition, but will be made available at reduced group discounts whenever possible based on availability and sufficient parental involvement.]

Summit Christian Academy is committed to providing teachers, administrators, and staff who are dedicated to our Mission, share our beliefs and support this vision by example in humility, integrity and skill day in and day out. We carefully select teachers who can successfully partner with parents and know how to make learning fun and transfer both information and understanding effectively to each student in the classroom setting.

Although the Summit Christian Academy team of teachers, staff, administrators and board members will be far from perfect, it is our desire to demonstrate the "I’m Third" principle and a servant-spirit style of leadership in everything we do. The scripture we base our guiding operating principle upon is from Matthew 22:37-38:

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind...and love your neighbor as yourself."

As a result, we desire to place

  • God First,
  • Families and Others Second, and
  • Summit Christian Academy, the institution, Third always.
